Young eager men and women charge in, resumes in hand jostling for positions. I get the feedback from my husband, a senior, formerly in the corporate world and now he doesn’t want to sit around being a couch potato and doing menial errands. He has a strong work ethic and wants even a part time job. So he goes to job fairs, fills out on-line applications and waits. Time ticks by.
I look at my man, so healthy and strong; so willing to work and his desire is to take care of the two of us, pay the bills and lead a good life. He reaches out and no one takes his hand but me, the author, his wife who cares for him.
Young folks have all the computer skills at their finger tips. We struggle with those skills but we try and say YES, I CAN. Is anyone listening?
