Anatomy of a story. . .

Those of you who know me are aware I sleep write. It’s true. A story comes in the night and in the morning I begin. Lately I’ve rushed in and made hasty starts. After I calm down and rethink the idea, I begin again. And somehow a story reveals itself and builds with characters to love and dislike, and always mindful to use conflict and everything needed to bring a story to life.

She Didn’t Say No, released yesterday, is one of those stories. I thought maybe it would be a long/short story and yet it grew. I had more to reveal about the characters. And when a story is cooked just right with all the flavors stirred in and tasted, this author knows when to write The Beginning. . .Not The End.
