This year , daughter and grandest took me to Pinot’s Palet in Nanuet where we drew pictures. A full house of women and their families filled the charming shop as we drew aided by the wonderful artist teacher and her assistant. In my youth, I learned the craft of drawing for Lord and Taylor in Chicago, a totally different style. As I used the paint and brushes and followed the instructions, I found I had an unusual style of sadness, dark trees and nothing light like the picture on display. Maybe it’s my age but that’s what the final result was. Mostly dark cloudy sky and haunted trees. Ah well.
On the other hand, I don’t write that way. A good sign. And today I’m
excited to share a 5 star review for my latest release, River’s Edge Trio Volume 2.
5 Stars Like a sleeve of cookies

I have never read one of Ms. Gordon’s books before and now I know why she is so popular. The characters are lovely, the stories compelling and leave one, like a sleeve of cookies, wanting more and more. In today’s new world of Romance, where it seems like everything is about shock value, this set of stories is like coming home for Christmas, Embrace the love and sweetness, in a town that expects the best of everyone, and eventually they come around. Don’t confuse sweet with boring, however. There are some moments, like a hero in a coma, or a widow losing her house, that will leave you holding your breath!

Mom- your painting turned out really cool. Unique, like you. Correction though, u did not follow instructions ππ. You beat to your own drum just like CassidyRae. I love it and love you both.

Well, hello daughter. So you peeked in to see what I’m up to when I’m not at your home. Love to my best girls from me. And you can’t imagine what a kick this is to see a comment from you right here.
Happy belated mother’s day. we did something similar last year with my mom. Her painting was…different from the others. LOL. we laughed the entire ride home because she kept saying, “I Did everything he said.” π
Another thing we have in common, Michelle. Mother’s have their own special way of doing things.
What a wonderful Mother’s Day adventure! It’s interesting how different your drawing was than the others’.
Great review, Charmaine! Good for you. π
