Hi gang, last week, Reva had an intuition regarding Grans; something was amiss with the wonderful woman who opened the door to a better life for her. She raced down the hall to find the dear lady in the throes of a TIA, Transient Ischemic Attack, prelude to a stroke. Calling to the eldest son, she gave him a fast run down, informed him to call 911, call his good friend, Dr. Burns, and call an ambulance.
When they arrived at the hospital, Dr. Burns stayed with Grans while the worried son arranged for a private room complete with flowers; Reva admired his love for his mother since she never had the pleasure of a Mom. She bustled around the eldercare floor, requested a cot so she might be in constant care of her dear lady and when the family left, she cleaned Grans lovely face and smoothed in with care expensive cream.
“Everyone had a fine time at the party and as for me, I’m tired so let’s get some sleep.”
“You did good, dear,” the dangerously ill Grans spoke in a garbled voice and soon fell asleep.
Dr. Max Burns spoke to James Randall in the hall; “You realize Reva saved your Grandmother’s life tonight.”
When everyone left, James called for a blanket to cover Reva and as he touched her cheeks, he enjoyed the sweetness of her soft skin. The next morning, while Grans had tests, James ordered breakfast for two; he asked Reva if she’d stay to care for his Grandmother and she said, of course.
She thought, I’m attracted to the handsome widower; already I love the grandmother and now I will get to know James Randall a whole lot better.

One night, she ran. For the bus to freedom and a new life. She had a plan, and a small box of cash.
With grit and determination, the young girl learned more than lessons at nursing college, the first part of her plan.
Someday, she would become a top chef, but for now, she’d claw her way up the ladder.
There is payback for every crime, and sometimes the payback is more than satisfactory.
