Now What?

Now What?

I held his cooling hand and asked the two words spoken many times during our years together. “Now what?” This time there was no response. I was on my own for the first time. I clung to him. “Come back to me, dearest.” Sometimes what you wish for is more than you can live with.

  1. I ordered Starting Over. The next one on my list is To Be Continued. Love your writing and characters.

  2. hmmm..I had a hunch you were a professional author 🙂 You picked a wonderful screen name that tells the world what your interest is :). I’m always glad to meet a real author. Feels like I can learn something back from all my missed education, growing up with inner city education.lol

  3. First and foremost, thank you for the follow on twitter. I’m always in awe when authors follow me. Secondly, I read about all of your books and I’m going to need a few more Barnes & Nobles gift cards because every one of them intrigued me. So, my question to you is which one is your favorite? Which one was your favorite to write if it’s not the same book. Lastly, How do you do it? How do you make yourself sit in a chair and write when there are so many distractions around you? I am disabled due to a primary progressive form of multiple sclerosis and another disease that is hard to explain except for there’s a tumor inside my spinal cord and blocks the free flow of spinal fluid up and down my body. So I am home alone every day but every day I seem to find other things I need to be doing and never get to the writing. I almost think I’m afraid to actually write. I guess it’s just the fear of not being good enough. So how do you get through that so you can write the book that you’re meant to write? I’d appreciate any and all advice you are willing to give me. I understand you’re busy, but not hearing back from you isn’t going to stop me from buying your books because all of them look like something I would want to read.

  4. Michelle, I’m thrilled that you got in touch. Now I want you to clear you’re beautiful mind and think pure thoughts. You are good enough to write. “There is nothing to fear but fear itself.” Those words spoken by Franklin Delano Roosevelt got our country through a disastrous depression. Physically, you have enough to deal with. I’m on your team, Michelle.
#1 I don’t force myself to sit in a chair to write. I love the power of fiction and the characters I create. Imagine deciding that a bad guy gets shot or gets life for something you’ve created. Cool. Or when the heroine allows the hero a kiss and more. . .
#2 Reconstructing Charlie and the sequel Sin of Omission are special because they flow one into the other. I’m writing The Catch, a third book with some new and old characters from RC and SoO to be released mid Feb.
    3. Now What? is a very personal story and Starting Over and To Be Continued have elements of me scattered through out.
    4. I don’t write gratuitous sex scenes although the steamy scenes are part of the story furthering relationships.
    5. FOCUS, Michelle. When I write, I put imaginary blinders on and FOCUS. This is your special time. Use it well.
Again, thanks for getting in touch. I look forward to hearing from you again.

  5. I have never been abe to write narrative; poetry and scripts are my forte. Someday I hope to write a book, but can’t seem to get motivated to do it. Meanwhile I blog and keep submitting scripts to contests. Sometimes ya just have to be a tortoise to “move”.

  6. After a long career as an actor, I love scripts and that helped me write my first book. Dialogue came easy and setting. Not to worry. Your love of writing will develop the way it should. You have real talent, my friend.

  7. Dear Charmaine,
Its indeed an honor and a great privilege to be interacting with you and being able to read your blog. I feel deeply humbled and hoping to learn from your rich and diverse experiences as an Author.
It is serendipity that has brought me to your awesome books and wonderful page…
I have penned some romantic stories that I’m trying to expand onto a novel, though when I penned them on paper first the words kept flowing and now I seem to be working uphill to simply get the storyline in place!
How does one over come that, I wonder>?
I hope you do visit me at my blogspot blogger http://www.madhavisood.blogspot.in ; especially on the 11th Apr’2013 when my Guestblog with Karen Ingalls would be going live…

I’m so glad to have come here and hope you like my poems and my book too 🙂
With Best Regards (and lots of hugs of appreciation)
